POMS stands for the Patrol Order Management System.
To access POMS directly, you need a general program called the “Citrix Client” and a specialized program to access POMS itself. Both programs and an instructional video can be downloaded directly from the company responsible for POMS or from the Flotilla 12-10 web site. Note: The Citrix Client allows you to connect to several Coast Guard Auxiliary web sites such as AUXDATA as well as POMS.
Statronics Statronics download site. You have to sort through and find what you need.
Flotilla 12-10 Flotilla 12-10 download site. This contains only the files you need.
The general program “Citrix Client” is used to access AUXDATA as well as POMS.
IF YOU CAN ACCESS AUXDATA, you already have the “Citrix Client”. In that case, skip step 1).

Step 1) If you need to install the Citrix Client, download the installer named “ica32pkg.msi”.

On October 17, 2007, this was Citrix Client Version 10 for Windows XP, 2000, NT, ME, 98, 95. (For Macintosh, you need a different installer. See your FSO-CS).

Download this installer, ica32pkg.msi, from one of the locations above. Save it in some location that you can remember.
(The standard suggestion is to your desktop).
Double-click on the program ica32pkg.msi and follow the instructions to install the Citrix Client. When finished, you can discard ica32pkg.msi.

Step 2) Once you have the Citrix Client installed, download the POMS-OE.ICA program. Put it in some location you can remember. The instructional video assumes this is on your desktop, but you can put it almost anywhere you want.

Step 3) Once you have the Citrix Client installed and the POMS-OE.ICA program, you can register. There is a nice video to show you how to do this called SelfReg.wmv. Download it from one of the sites above. (Unfortunately, this is a huge file compared to all the others listed here.) There is an Installation Guide which is much smaller which you may prefer to use instead.

Step 4) You are now ready to use POMS. If you are a coxswain, you can request orders. Once approved, you can fill out your 5132 (request for reimbursement). If you just want to see which patrols are scheduled, you can do this. Enjoy!

You may want to print this page before starting.

The instructional video is quite good. However, if you want to see the key screens with information relevant to this area, you can go here:
